Journalism trainer offers his advice on YouTube

Journalism trainer Cleland Thom is offering video advice via YouTube on how to tackle journalism exams.

Thom, who runs CTJT offering online journalism training courses, has uploaded videos on the sharing website with advice on the law, newswriting and public administration exams set by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.

Each video lasts about ten minutes and features the trainer speaking to camera with tips on how to boost marks.

Thom was group editor of nine UK regional paper titles in London, and senior executive with Reed Regional Newspapers and a member of Reed's prestigious 100 Club.

He ran the NCTJ course at Highbury College, Portsmouth, for 10 years, and set up CTJT in 2002.

He has recently published The How-to Legal Manual for Journalists, available via the CTJT website.
